I am so thankful for your help, support, and encouragement Kathryn! We really were at a loss after reading all the sleep books and feeling like we tried everything; 9 months of waking up every 2 hours, and his endless hours of awake time at night needed to come to an end. I really thought he wouldn’t sleep through but he does consistently now!  As for naps, I thought he was a hopeless case, since even as a newborn he was up for 5 hours at a time. I would be lucky to get a half hour out of him after lots of crying. After your many suggestions and support, Aiden finally fell asleep on his own, and I could not believe my eyes as I anxiously watched the monitor. A weight has been lifted off of my shoulders and I can’t even begin to explain how relieved and thankful I am. Thank you so so much for your words of encouragement, sincerity, and care for my son’s sleep. He’s an even happier baby now and my husband and I feel great again!

Hiring Kathryn to help us with Brynne’s sleep is the best thing we have done so far. After 3 months of sleep deprivation, we were all hitting a wall. With Kathryn’s help, we were able to help Brynne fall asleep on her own and in her crib – two things that I thought were going to be impossible! Prior to hiring a sleep consultant, several people suggested I read a book and follow its guidelines. This may work for some, but not for me. The ongoing support, follow up and modifications to our plan is what made this successful for us. These are things that a book does not offer. Kathryn’s realistic and flexible approach are invaluable. Kathryn, thank you for making the impossible possible!

Making the decision to seek support, education and skills was the best thing that happened to me and my family. Kathryn was everything I needed at that moment. Presley was 5 months old when I decided I needed help. I had created so many bad habits that were starting not only to drive me crazy, but my partner as well. I had started sharing the bed with Presley, and nursing him before every nap and bedtime. It had got so bad that I was waking 10-15 times a night. Sleeping through the night seemed like something that I would never experience with my little guy. The consistency and knowledge that I was able to develop working with Kathryn made life make sense again. I can honestly say that by the end f the first week I couldn’t have been happier with the results, he was sleeping the entire night! Late night emails and phone calls were exactly what I needed to get through. A baby well rested and a mommy well rested = happiness for all.

We hired Kathryn after attending a Sleep Stars seminar at Kindercafe. At that point our daughter, Payton, was 8 months old and waking up every 2-4 hours at night. The only way we could get her back to bed was to nurse her. She knew how to put herself to sleep but wasn’t doing it consistently. She was also waking up hysterical exactly 45 minutes after going to bed and it sometimes took up to an hour to get her back to bed. Needless to say we were all VERY tired and frustrated!! I had read a sleep training book and tried it myself but wasn’t successful. With Kathryn’s guidance and support we had Payton sleeping through the night in 3 nights!!! Naps took longer to get back on track but I’m happy to say that she is sleeping much better than before and we are all much happier!! It’s hard work, but I couldn’t have done it without the help of Kathryn!!

It has taken me awhile to write this because I wanted to make sure I got all the right words to explain just how grateful I am for Kathryn.
At 4.5 months our baby Adalyn was getting up  every 2 hours in the night, naps were non existent or very short, and she wanted to be held constantly I was on the road with my husband for his job with not one single person, friend or family member around. He was working 14 hour days and I was suffering from post partum. I was so exhausted and frustrated and felt like a bad mom because I could not get my baby to get the sleep I knew she needed.
I had a friend who had sleep trained and it sounded like it was what we needed. My husband and I discussed it and we called Kathryn.

Kathryn did a free consult with me and I was on board she explained it all and I felt better it was not this horrific emotional scarring thing you had to do to get your baby to sleep. It was so gentle and gradual and she worked with what was comfortable for you and your baby.

She gave us a step by step plan and talked to me every day either via email or phone. She was always so reassuring and not pushy or judgemental.
Because of our unique situation of moving so much it took longer than it usually does but by 6 months Adalyn was sleeping through the night and having two naps a day. I felt like a new person, my relationship with my hubby was better and I was a better mommy because I had energy for her when she was awake to do all the fun things I could with her.

I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart Kathryn for all of your amazing help and support and I will always recommend you to any mom 🙂

By 9.5 months of age Lucas was, on a good night, sleeping 4 hours at a time and on a bad night was up every 2 hours.  The only way to get him back to sleep was to nurse him.  Travelling seemed to only make things worse and he’d be up at least 4 times during the night.  I was starting to think about going back to work and I was dreading doing that on the little sleep I had been getting.  I had been following Kathryn on Facebook and liked the tips she was giving and figured I had nothing to lose by making the first phone call. I had read books, but was looking for the personalization that came with speaking to someone about our specific situation and who was available for questions.  It took ONE NIGHT.  One night for him to figure out how to put himself back to sleep without nursing. Since that night, 2 months ago, he has slept for about 11 hours every night with 2 naps a day. We don’t dread travelling anymore, he adjusts so well and even adjusts to the occasional late night out.  The only regret I have is that I didn’t call Kathryn sooner.  Thank you!!

I was very skeptical about sleep training in the beginning, and I was still skeptical about it even after we made the decision to enlist Kathryn’s help. However, this skepticism didn’t last long because we saw an improvement in our son’s sleep by the second night. Our son’s sleep got better very fast and I was very much convinced of sleep training and truly felt like enlisting Kathryn’s help was the best thing that we have ever done.

Our son was doing amazingly well until around three week’s time when his sleep started regressing. I became really concerned about this regression and was always seeking help from Kathryn. Kathryn continued to support us through our problems and provided solutions for us each step of the way. She always made the effort to check in with us even when she didn’t hear from us. On Kathryn’s website, she said: “When parents entrust me as their child’s “sleep guide,” either through one-on-one consultations or seminars, they are placing a great deal of trust in me, and I want to let you know that I take this responsibility very seriously.” When I first read this, I didn’t think much of it. I thought “sleep guides” simply give the parents a sleep plan and their job is done. How wrong I was in thinking that! Throughout the one month time of working with Kathryn, this quote repeatedly popped up in my head and it is so true that Kathryn takes her job very seriously. I am very grateful for all the help we have received from Kathryn and am thankful we found such a professional and knowledgeable sleep guide 🙂

I’m so extremely happy with our decision to work with Kathryn on our daughter Brooklyn’s sleep. Brooklyn was a year old when we called Kathryn. At that point, I nursed her to sleep and she was getting up to nurse every 2 hours from 11 pm until 6 am. Needless to say we all were feeling quite sleep deprived. My husband and I had read books, asked others for advice, tried sleep training ourselves, but nothing was working. When I first talked to Kathryn I wasn’t sure I could believe what she said: she could have Brooklyn sleeping through the night in one week max! Kathryn was right, Brooklyn was sleeping through the night and falling asleep by herself in less than a week! It wasn’t an easy process at the beginning but by following the customized sleep plan that Kathryn put together for us and talking to Kathryn during our follow-up phone calls we got through the really tough couple days. Kathryn was amazing to work with, very professional, and tremendously supportive. She also provided us with resources we can reference in the future. Brooklyn now tells me when she wants to go ‘night night’ and can put herself to sleep. This is the best money I’ve ever spent, thank you Kathryn!

“There aren’t  enough words to express how happy we are with Kathryn and Sleep Stars. At 5 months old our son was waking up every 3 hours at night and taking 3 to 4 thirty minute naps during the day. We were exhausted and desperate. I had already read as many books as I could get my hands on about baby’s and sleep and couldn’t have been more confused. I just happen to see Sleep Stars ad in a magazine and I immediately sent Kathryn an e-mail . She replied on a Sunday, we met on that Wednesday, started the sleep training on that Friday…and by the next Tuesday he was sleeping through the night and taking 2 naps a day, both over an hour long! I couldn’t have asked for a better outcome from the Sleep Stars program. I was nervous going into it as Hayden was a horrible sleeper. Since day one we co-slept, she had to always be nursed to sleep and she would get me up ever hours at night to be nursed back to sleep and she never, ever napped. Now a month later Hayden loves her sleep; she sleeps 10-12 hours a night in her crib, in her own room, and has two 2-3 hour naps a day. She is a much happier baby which makes me a much happier mommy. Overall, I am so pleased with the results of the Sleep Stars program. I was nervous at first but as I saw how quickly Elliana improved I was tickled! She now sleeps an average of 11 hours each night with two 2 hr naps during the day. It’s fantastic! Both Elliana and I are so much happier and she is thriving. Kathryn was there for me through it all and the support she provided was priceless. I am so thankful for it all and happy to have been a part of it.

At 6 months Peter was still only sleeping 2-4 hours at a time at night and needing to feed to go back to sleep each time. After trying to research on my own but being overwhelmed with all the information in books/online I was recommended  Kathryn by a friend. The structure and advice Kathryn gave me to follow had Peter sleeping through the night within 3 days and now one month later he sleeps and average of 11.5 hours a night without waking up. Kathryn gave such great support throughout my time working with her and assured me with great answers and advice to all my questions. I was blessed with a beautiful baby girl on Mother’s Day of 2012.  Life was blissful….for three weeks lol.  Then colic kicked in, and 19 hours of crying a day began.  I found that the only way my daughter would sleep was with me, in bed.  Co-sleeping and nursing to sleep became a way of life for us around the three month mark.  It was the absolute ONLY way either of us (baby and I) got any sleep.  We both became accustomed to this way of life rather quickly; yet I found by around the time she was 5 months, my being in bed with her, actually seemed to be disrupting her sleep, more than helping it.  (The having to go to bed at 7 pm every night and stay there wasn’t ideal either lol.)  I was absolutely adamant that I would not do “cry it out”, and so I spent countless hours reading sleep training books and researching the web.  In the end, all it got me was absolutely overwhelmed and frustrated.  One night (when she was 8.5 months old), during a break from this “research”, I thought I’d skim Facebook and see what was happening in my friend’s lives.  The first post I saw was for Sleep Stars Consulting, soon to be coming to the Mommies and Munchkins Fair in Langley.  I swear, it was like God put the post there, just to help me in my hour of need.  I immediately messaged Kathryn and began the short trek to a complete life change!  We met and discussed what I was willing and not willing to do in terms of sleep training, what my daughter’s sleep habits were like, as well as her daily activities and feeding schedule.  Kathryn created a tailored plan for us and we implemented it within a couple days.  Don’t get me wrong, I was distraught for those days leading up to “it”; but in the end, it only took one rough night and then the rest was pretty much smooth sailing.  My daughter took to her crib, with no crutches at all, by night three!  It was like a miracle!  She also began taking two 1.5-2 hour naps per day, on her own, in her crib!  That was 8 weeks ago, and I have to say, both my daughter and I are well rested and enjoy each and every minute of our time together now, rather than both of us being over tired and cranky.  Kathryn absolutely changed both of our lives for the better!  Best money I have EVER spent in my life lol!  I have recommended her to absolutely everyone I know, and strangers too lol!

I’m a first time mother and was so worried that I would be up every hour throughout the night until my daughter was 1 1/2 like so many of my friends. I was so excited when I was introduced to Kathryn.
My Husband and I were overwhelmed by all the methods of sleep training out there and I had no idea what I was doing right, and what I was doing wrong. I am so thankful that my husband and I made the decision to hire Kathryn as our sleep consultant.

From the very first conversation, her caring and compassionate nature was evident and most importantly, she genuinely heard what our needs were. She tailored the plan to what we were comfortable with.  After 10 months of co-sleeping and and nursing our daughter to sleep we were ready for this step.

The process was a challenge for sure, but we were dedicated as a couple and with the incredible support and guidance of Kathryn it was possible!  Kathryn was our strength when there were moments of doubt. If Kathryn could have belief that our daughter would be sleeping through the night and taking two solid naps a day by the end of this, then I knew we had to stick to the plan!!  Our daughter surprised us in so many ways and within days was sleeping through the night and was learning to be able to put herself back to sleep! Although the naps took a little longer for Taylor to conquer, it is incredible how now she is able to lay down, talk a little to herself and her stuffy and fall asleep for 2 solid naps a day….all from a baby that wasn’t able to sleep on her own for 10 months!  Just today when putting her down for her nap as we were reading a book, part way through she closed it and pointed to her crib!  I would have never believed this day would happen!

We are so grateful to Kathryn for all she did for us!  Our daughter gets the sleep needed and we are able to find a little time to ourselves.

We first sought Kathryn’s advice when our son was six months old and waking about five times per night. After meeting with her, I got a great feeling of reassurance. Aiden was 5 months when we decided it was time to make that move to a better night sleep. He relied on his soother for everything and when it would fall out he would wake up looking for it, which in return, caused a very sleep deprived mommy. We moved Aiden into his own room, took away his soother and after the second night, he was sleeping 12-13 hours straight and has been since we started!
